Note: these are official videos on the Steam points store.
From those in the OPs link, the risk of rain 2 one was the best, that seamless transition from closing the door to the deck logo was great.
The AVGN one doesn’t deserve to in this list. It’s kinda shit.
Just so everyone is aware, it’s stupid easy to use any video for the startup animation.
Rename the video and have it replaced the file in the following directory.
~/.steam/root/config/uioverrides/movies/
I’m using a modified PSX intro with Valve branding.
There is also a Decky plug-in that gives very easy access to already tons of startup movies now.
Yeah I’ve read too many Decky horror stories. I’m not giving my Steam Deck AIDS to change the startup animation.
I’m not giving my Steam Deck AIDS to change the startup animation.
I mean, you do you, but the AIDS comparison is quite tasteless.
And this is how I find out about the Dr Livesey meme that is already 3 years old…

Oh damn, we’re back to custom Windows 95 boot screen bitmaps. I had one that did the Matrix digital rain effect.
I like the Gordon alyx dunk intro. It goes so hard
Can We Please Stop Editorial Capitalising Titles - It Is Super Annoying And Adds No Value Nor Does It Make Your Blog More Distinguished.
While I agree its not adding anything, I don’t get why one gets upset about titlecase for blog post titles. I mean its not like something making it less readable or less indexable or anything like that. So why even ask to stop doing it? Or does it do any harm I’m not aware off (even if its for readable reasons in your opinion). I personally prefer normal case for titles as well, but that is just a preference of mine, not because I see any benefit in doing so.
It’s annoying to read. That’s why.
Sure, I would understand it if its longer text.
But it’s a title…
I honestly hadn’t even noticed, so I’m surprised it bothered you so much. But I guess I get grumpy about other random bullshit sometimes…
Totally weird possibility: the author is following the actual grammar rules for capitalization of titles.
If they were, “are”, “of” and “and” likely wouldn’t be capitalized.
Also, “the actual grammar rules” are not a thing. There are lots of different style guides for how to capitalize titles, there’s no generally accepted “correct” version like there is for most of orthography or regular grammar (but almost all of them have in common to not capitalize the words I mentioned before)
