My mother in law was going to vote for him, she’s otherwise reasonable and intelligent. Her low media literacy coupled with addiction to social media convinced her that was the best choice. She knew nothing about snake oil or heroin or lack of belief in germ theory. The guy said he’d put her grandson in a camp and she didn’t know about that either. If I hadn’t been there to explain she would have happily voted because Kennedy means good. There are millions not as lucky and voted exactly like that, or voted for Trump when Kennedy joined him.
