My two cents: this whole war began to oppose Russia’s meddling with Donetsk and Luhansk, and now the whole country belongs to the US. And still there’s no guarantee that they’re gonna get those two oblasts and Crimea back.
Honestly, if Ukraine was to be plundered by Russia, EU and the US, the best move was to bring Makhno back from the dead anyway. Or go red.
If your facts were correct, this would not look so strange.
Look for roots of conflict deeper than what’s on the surface.
