German government in general is (or at least was over the past 4 years) also generally pretty pro open source.

We have our own unique blend of fascist movements in every country, unfortunately. Right now it’s still manageable but it’s not all sunshine and rainbows either.

Don’t want to get all doomer, I’m very hopeful and proud to be European, but I do want to set realistic expectations. People need to fight the good fight and not rest on their laurels.
