Jon Ossoff’s win isn’t particularly surprising; not as competitive as Texas, Iowa, Michigan, Maine, Kansas, or even Florida or South Carolina.

It’s 60-40 now. It’s still a comfortable win, but you have to take into account Republicans generally not voting early.

his opponent probably helped some… mike collins being a far far faaaar right nutjob who did some pretty dumb things previously and during this campaign.

rome and dalton. the far northwest corner bordering tennessee and alabama… the most skewed-republican electorate of any district in georgia… a toad in a tutu would’a won there with an ® by its name on the ballot.

And even there, the Democratic candidate is currently at 40.7% of the vote with 89% of precincts reporting.

No, we’re talking about the state that already had two Democratic Senators for the past six years. Judging all of GA on the 14th district is just plain hateful.

Would be nice if Iowa’s candidate didn’t keep shooting themselves. So far has been running the classic dem campaign of doing everything they can to lose while ahead
