Ex-fucking-actly! A world of possibilities would open up in the realm of emulators with a 6 button pad.

Do they make a pad that is exactly like the upcoming Steam Controller Mk.II, except with two extra face buttons next to B & Y (like an old Sega controller)? It should also have cooling fans for my hands without sacrificing rumble (just like an old Logitech controller I had back in the day).

Something like that is my dream controller and I’ve been waiting for someone to come along and make it for years. At this point I think I’m going to have to buy a 3D printer, and get in touch with someone who fabricates circuit boards, because I’m tired of waiting.

Wow, no HDMI 2.1 is a deal breaker for me. This is fucking sad.

OP said they want to play multiplayer games, which are sometimes crackable, but more often not.

I’m fine with this if it means they’re shooting for no-compromise 1440p 120hz with ray tracing this time around. That’s the only way I’d consider a Steam Deck. Otherwise it’s little more to me than just a neat novelty for people who want to get into PC gaming but can’t afford to. I rather just game on my desktop.

Agree 100%. Steam Deck is great for people with no money who still want to get into PC gaming. Everyone else should build a PC or buy a laptop.

If I were in his situation, I’d be weaving through traffic and driving on the shoulder to get to my son. It honestly blows my mind how some people are so law-abiding that they literally will not commit even a relatively minor infraction (in the grand scheme of things) when it matters most, even during a literal emergency. No sensible jury would convict this man for breaking traffic laws in this situation.

I’d gladly do my 6 months to a year in jail if it meant that I got the chance to say goodbye. This father is unbelievable.

I’m just glad that Valve is bringing back the Steam controller. So sick and tired of boring, uninnovative Xbox and Playstation controllers. I like the idea of toggle switches under the controller that aren’t just remaps of existing buttons, and actually usable touchpads. I hope the left stick and D-pad are hot-swappable in the final version, but beggars can’t be choosers.
